About the Book
From her first poem “Colors” to her last “Home,” she expresses her love of nature and her native Jamaica. She shares her heartbreak of losing her aunt Grace and grandfather (“Dada”) who raised her. In “Dawn Into Night” she empathizes with her childhood friend who lost her sight. The homeless inspired “Forgotten.” In “26.2” she reflects on her marathon journey.
About the Author
Dr. Debby Cougar is a small animal veterinarian practicing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is an alumna of Rutgers University Cook College and the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. She was born in Jamaica and immigrated to New Jersey in her early teens. She is an avid runner and has completed four marathons. She shares her home with her Whippet Stanley, three cats, and two snakes.
