ABOUT THE AUTHOR Virginia Wallen volunteers at an elementary school, where the students have encouraged her to write books, and, with her husband at nursing homes, even though she has limited use of her hands. Children need to understand what they read, so she keeps her books simple. She found the inspiration for Boo Boo Bear in a stuffed bear she had given to a friend, who rubbed the bear so much it was tattered and worn. She put bandages over its wounds and called it Boo Boo Bear. (2005, paperback, 32 pages) Availability: Usually ships in 2-3 business days.
