The author earned his masters degree in reactor physics from the University of Berne, Switzerland (1972). He performed his master thesis at the Eidgenoessisches Institut fuer Reaktorforschung, Wuerenlingen in the field of reactor physics.

Afterwards he began his Ph.D. at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, at the Institut fuer Atomphysik with the thesis annealing experiments, age and uranium content measurement on apatite and sphene crystals with fission track method (1976).

From 1976 to 1986, he worked at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Tehran, as researcher at the field of Fission Track Physics. He published over twenty-four scientific articles about fission track dating, uranium content measurements, and nuclear pore filter in the English, German, and Farsi languages. He also wrote more than eighteen popular scientific articles that were published in local Armenian newspapers.

Currently he is working in the LA Testing analytical laboratory in south Pasadena, California, as senior asbestos analyst and writing popular articles about fission track dating, radon measurement, and other related fields.
