About the Author
Laurie Hickman Hiett was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she currently resides with her husband, Craig. They have two sons and two daughters along with six grandchildren. Hiett studied at the University of Wyoming where she earned her BA in elementary education and at Lesley University receiving her Master’s in Literacy. She recently retired after thirty-one years of teaching in special education. Her hobbies include reading, quilting, gardening, and refinishing antiques. Laurie and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family, which is her favorite time to revisit those precious memories.
