by Svetla Yordanova Svetla Yordanova was born on September 2, 1962, in the town of Gorna Oriahovitsa, Bulgaria. She started writing poetry in her youth and took part in many national and regional poetry competitions in her motherland, where she was awarded many different prizes. In Bulgaria, Svetla worked as a primary school teacher. She has two children, who also live in the United States. Svetla is a member of "Intelect," a club in the town of Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. She is a candidate/member of the Union of the Bulgarian Writers in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, and she is a regular member of an American website for poetry, www.poets.com, where she is known as "Svetla Sky." Her poetry is highly evaluated by American readers who are members of the website. In July of 2005, Svetla received an invitation from the League of American Poets to take part with her works in the published anthology. Sacred Soul is a book for the faith in life and spiritual growth through the constant searching of its meaning. Svetla devotes this book to her beloved son, Bozhidar.
