This book was adapted and illustrated by Adelheid von Kannewurff in 1928 for her children. Believing the stories too beautiful and the lessons contained within too valuable to lay forgotten and ignored, her daughter-in-law, Ingrid von Kannewurff, translated the stories as Adelheid told them in order to share them and her timeless paintings with believers and nonbelievers alike.
About the Author
Adelheid von Kannewurff was a woman of strong faith, which carried her through some of the most difficult times in her life. Through her talent and love, she gave her children a Christian and moral foundation for life.
