About the Author
I was born in Chicago, Jan. 1, 1945, the second baby that year named after both grandmothers. About age 7, the U.S. Coastguard fished this darling little girl out of Lake Michigan before she drowned. My father was a Jeweler in The Loop but he died 11/8/1954. My mother was a native of Oklahoma and brought us her to grow up. I played all-star basketball and ran track in high school. Later I studied Journalism at Murray State College under Tom S. Wood. Then I studied Art at East Central University, under Dee J. Lafon, Robert Sieg and Bob Baker. For three years I taught Kindergarten and retired from Southwestern Bell, now AT&T.
