Amy Pavolino was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She studied art at the Ohio State University. She is a former elementary art teacher. She is currently working as a tutor in an inner-city school, where she helps students with severe learning disabilities. She is a proud parent of one. Her daughter, Ashley, inspires her to write. They reside in Westerville, Ohio, along with their two doxies, Reese and Snickers.
