Unspoken Shame
by Rosalie Mulkey
This is the story of two siblings who were physically and emotionally abused by their father throughout their childhood. Rosemary, who was the oldest, always promised to take care of her younger sister, Brittany, and promised one day she would get them both out of the home they both resented and feared. But Rosemary ends up leaving her sister behind, never expecting the tragedy that falls upon Brittany. Rosemary lives with the guilt of leaving her sister, and Kevin, her best friend, encourages her to go back home to face the unspoken shame that not even Kevin knows about.
